Fraud Awareness Week 2023

International Fraud Awareness Week 2023

12-18 November 2023

Fraud Awareness Week is a 7-day international event run in November each year.

Organisations around the world, including Australia, come together to spread fraud awareness.

Although organisations should be addressing fraud throughout the year, Fraud Awareness Week provides an opportunity to focus on fraud and have discussions on key topics, issues and trends relevant to fraud risk and governance.

Keeping up to date with the latest information on how Australian organisations are being impacted by fraud is imperative to being able to educate staff and better mitigate current and emerging fraud risks.

One of the most effective measures an organisation can do during the week is to engage with their staff in a number of ways.  In particular, discussing what fraud is, how it occurs, what the warning signs are, how to mitigate it and report it when it occurs.

If you would like more information on how best to do this, Warfield & Associates can assist with training and education whether it is face to face or via an online medium.  We can also assist with measures to mitigate the fraud risks going forward by way of policy review and undertaking fraud risk assessments of your organisation, which are one of the most critical measures an organisation should consider as part of its fraud mitigation strategy.

Take advantage of the increased focus on fraud during the week of 12-18 November to raise its profile within your organisation.
