New research has been released by Warfield & Associates.
The research details over 100 cases of million-dollar fraud perpetrated by Australians on their employers.
It looks at how the frauds were committed and by whom, how long it took to discover, the warning signs ignored and the implications for both the fraudster/s and the organisations who employed them.
It covers recent years up to and including August 2022.
The total amount stolen was $350 million by 102 employees, with the largest single case involving $27.4 million.
